Wilma R. Williamson, 90, of Canton went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Altercare of Alliance.

She was born on November 12, 1933, in Breman KY to Elbert and Lorene Howell Higgs.

Wilma loved gardening, canning, flower arrangements and spending time with her family.  Wilma was a nurse’s aide at Wooster Community Hospital for many years and the video store at Dino’s Drive Thru.

She is survived by children Teresa Geitgey of Wooster, Robin (Scott) Sampson of North Carolina, Connie Renee (Joseph) Carafelli of Canton, and Lee Williamson of Cincinnati; grandchildren Cassie (Josh) Lepley, Victoria Carafelli, Gabrielle Carafelli, Olivia Carafelli, Stephanie (Matt) Stansberry and Joseph (Natalie) Geitgey; great grandchildren Griffen Geitgey, Stella Geitgey, Roman Yana, Brooklyn Lepley, Jameson Lepley, Gideon Lepley, Micah Lepley, Abigale Stansberry and Georgia Stansberry.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, son David Strader, siblings Roy Higgs, Corene Johnson, Billy Higgs, Mildred Duncan and Raymond Higgs and grandson Brandon Geitgey.

A private family graveside service will be held at Reedsburg Cemetery.

McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster is assisting the family.
