WOOSTER “ Larry R. œEphraim  Mowrer, 78, of Wooster passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Ohio ™s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.
He was born May 14, 1941 in Wooster the son of Eldon œAl  and Florence Harbaugh Mowrer.   He married Kay Proper on August 25, 1979.   She survives.
He was a 1959 graduate of Wooster High School and graduated from Ashland College in 1966.   He had worked for Jim Starr Construction and retired from FJ Designs.   He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and the Buckeyes.
He proudly served his country with the US Army in the Ohio National Guard from 1966-1972.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, Kay, he is survived by his siblings, Clay (Marie) Mowrer, Rod (Jace) Mowrer, and Al (Judy) Mowrer and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours and private family services will be held.
McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family.

  1. Kay, I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. If you need anything let me know. I don’t know if this will bring any comfort to you just yet but. I have found comfort in knowing that my Parents and now my Twin Sister are no longer suffering and that they are all together again resting under the wings of Jesus.

  4. Very sorry for your loss Kay. I worked many years with Eph at FJ designs and had many good conversations with him . He was a good coworker as well as friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.

  6. Eph and I worked together at FJ Designs – he was a dedicated, hard-working individual, who had a great sense of humor and a passion for The Ohio State Buckeyes. Eph will be missed and I was privileged to know him. Go Bucks!

  7. Hi Kay.Sorry to get he bad news about Eph. I informed the Beelers. They’re still in Florida. I’m glad you used a picture from the sailboat. Once a sailor always a sailor. I’ll call you when all this settles down.
