WOOSTER – Thomas Otha Daye, 52, of Wooster passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Akron General Hospital.

He was born February 19, 1967 in Millersburg, the son of James and Jewell Friend Daye.

He worked at Technicgraphics with computers.  Thomas loved to fish, hunt and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He was a member of the NRA.

Surviving are his mother of Boliver; step daughters, Kayla (Tyler) Hoover of Glenmont and Keli Sheady of Millersburg; step-grandchildren, Gavin and Maddie; siblings, Jenny (Marvin) Crosby of Creston, Jerry Daye of Wooster, Vicky Friend of Urichsville and Brian Friend; a step-brother, Michael Johnson of Wooster and 4 step-brothers.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends will be received 1 hour prior to the Noon service on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.  Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Shreve.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the funeral home to help defray expenses.

My grandpa knew Tommy and he was a very open man with a heart that was always expanding. He had a neverending amount of love. We'll miss you Tommy, Thank you for being around.

Tommy was a really nice and sweet man I'm so glad we got to know him.He wanted to come out this weekend and fish with us I so wish he could have. I'm so sorry to all of his family and friends for the loss of such a good man. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone he touched with his kind heart.

I've known Tommy for about 27 years and he was such a great man with a heart of gold, always caring and kind and loving to his friends and family , No doubt he was loved and will be missed tremendously. I love you Tommy and I will miss you and I will never forget how you would just drop a random "Hello , how are you ?" Godspeed my friend , till we meet again.

My sincere sympathy goes out to all his family and friends. He was a very sweet and kind man. He will be darely missed. We enjoyed the time we got to spend with him. He was a very sweet man with a big heart.

the only way i can find peace in Tommy passing is there is no wheel chairs in Heaven.....
